The Grief Recovery Method® is an evidenced based psycho- educational programme.

With the Grief Recovery Method® (GRM) you will go through a step-by-step process providing strategies and tools that will help you recover and which you can use for future losses as well.

The program is a toolkit providing a step-by-step, week-by-week process that provides grievers the ability to deal with loss, whether it be the death of a child or loved one, the end of a relationship, divorce, loss of job, health or any other loss where pain and grief are underlying issues.

It is an action programme consisting of a series of small steps that will enable you to complete the loss you are facing, provide you with a simple step by step process, along with  tools and techniques to enable you to take action to deal with unfinished business.

Because grief is such a misunderstood and little talked about topic it may be easier to start by saying what the  Grief Recovery Method® isn’t:

  • It’s not counselling
  • It’s not therapy
  • It’s not an alternative treatment

While any of the above routes may be of some little or great benefit, they mainly offer a path to discovery of the thoughts and feelings you have around the loss in your life. However, at Grief Recovery we maintain that discovery is not the same as recovery.
